Go2Recycling Project continues to strengthen environmental awareness among young generations
in the target countries: T\u00fcrkiye, Romania, Bulgaria and Georgia!
School-based awareness and separate waste collection trainings were successfully carried out both
Turkish target areas: in Ke\u015fan (by G\u00dcNEKAB) and in Uzunk\u00f6pr\u00fc (by Uzunk\u00f6pr\u00fc Municipality).
In selected schools in Ke\u015fan, hundreds of students participated in interactive environmental
education sessions where they learned:

\uf0b7 The environmental and climate benefits of recycling
\uf0b7 Practical separation of plastic, paper, glass, and metal waste
\uf0b7 Responsible consumption habits
Educational booklets prepared under the project were distributed, and recycling bins were delivered
to schools to ensure the practical implementation of separate collection systems.
Environmental awareness and waste separation trainings were organized in the following local
schools in Uzunk\u00f6pr\u00fc:

\uf0b7 Menderes Secondary School
\uf0b7 Yunus Emre Secondary School
\uf0b7 Mimar Muslihiddin Technical and Anatolian High School
Municipal environmental experts provided hands-on demonstrations showing how daily waste can
be properly separated.
Recycling bins were delivered to selected schools to establish a sustainable separate collection
system within school premises.
As of 1 March, a one-month International Plastic Collection Campaign has officially started within
the project framework.
More than 20 schools from four countries and five cities are participating in the competition.
At the end of the campaign, teachers from the schools that collect the highest amount of plastic
waste will attend a 3-day seminar in Sozopol, fostering international knowledge exchange and
sharing of best practices.
Through school campaigns and neighbourhood-level awareness activities, the project aims to:

\uf0b7 Establish sustainable separate waste collection systems
\uf0b7 Strengthen cross-border environmental cooperation
By educating children through example and providing practical infrastructure, Go2Recycling is
helping to build sustainable habits from an early age.
